Intensive Therapy in the Comfort of Your Home

Intensive In-Home Therapy Services brings comprehensive mental health treatment directly to families in their homes. Designed for children and adolescents who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy, IIH strengthens the entire family system through intensive, goal-focused intervention.

By delivering services in the home, our therapists observe family dynamics, environmental factors, and real-life challenges contributing to a child’s difficulties. This unique perspective allows for more targeted interventions and practical solutions that work in your actual living situation.

IIH is particularly valuable when a child is at risk of out-of-home placement, returning from a residential or hospital setting, or struggling with severe emotional or behavioral challenges that affect the entire family.

Our IIH team includes licensed therapists who specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families. They use evidence-based family therapy approaches and are skilled at engaging even reluctant family members.

Treatment focuses on strengthening the family system as a whole—improving communication, parenting strategies, sibling relationships, and the overall home environment while addressing the identified child’s needs.

The intensive nature of IIH means your family receives multiple sessions per week, often totaling several hours of direct service. IIH services are time-limited and goal-focused, typically lasting 3-6 months.

What to Expect

Services begin with a comprehensive family assessment in your home. Your therapist visits multiple times per week, providing 4-8 hours of direct service per week with the whole family, individuals, or combinations of both.

As your family stabilizes, your therapist will work with you to develop a transition plan that connects you to ongoing support and community resources.
